Thailand has a strong recent history of boating, sailing and yachting events, going back to the inaugural Phuket Kings Cup in 1987 and the Phuket International Marine Expo PIMEX, held in 2003.
Taking place at the award-winning Royal Phuket Marina, the inaugural Thailand International Boat Show will showcase yachts of all sizes -both power and sail – from dinghies and daytrippers to catamarans and superyachts.

Celebrating its 19th edition, the Phuket Regatta provides spectacular sailing along Phuket’s east coast. Held at Cape Panwa Hotel, the regatta is a long established fixture on Phuket’s yachting calendar and visitors can enjoy five days of sailing, parties and activities.

As a principal fixture on the Asian Yachting Circuit, the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta annually features upwards of 90 boats (record of 103 in 2007) and 2,000 sailors, ranging from the Formula One of the sea lanes, the Racing Class, to live-aboard ocean cruisers, multihulls and classics.
